Actor Mike Heslin, known for his role in the TV series “Lioness,” passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac event following a week-long battle in the hospital. His husband, Scotty Dynamo, shared the news on Instagram, describing Heslin as young, in perfect health, and a real-life guardian angel. Dynamo paid tribute to his husband as a brilliant, selfless, and loving man who brought out the best in everyone, and had been a source of support for Dynamo during his battle with testicular cancer.
Before his death, the couple had plans to start a family, and Dynamo expressed his intention to name their future son after Heslin. He also revealed that Heslin was an organ donor and had given the gift of life to four different families. Heslin’s friend and colleague Kimiko Glenn remembered him as a longtime friend, comfort, and constant presence in her life for over two decades.
In addition to his acting work, Heslin was also a director, producer, and writer, having co-founded the production house Well-Versed Entertainment. He appeared in various shows such as “Younger” and “I Love You…But I Lied,” and created, wrote, directed, and starred in the scripted mockumentary series “The Influencers.” His most recent appearances were in Paramount+ series “Special Ops: Lioness” and Lifetime’s “The Holiday Proposal Plan” in 2023.
