Vivian Jenna Wilson, the transgender daughter of Elon Musk, gave her first public interview where she revealed that Musk was an absent and cruel father to her as a child for being queer and feminine. Wilson responded to Musk’s recent comments about her transgender identity, where he said she was figuratively “dead” and claimed he was “tricked” into authorizing her medical treatment when she was 16. Wilson denied being tricked and stated that Musk knew what he was doing when he consented to her treatment. She described Musk as cold, uncaring, and narcissistic, noting that he pressured her to be more masculine and berated her for exhibiting feminine traits.
Wilson shared that Musk was rarely present in her life, leaving her and her siblings to be cared for by their mother or nannies. She mentioned that Musk harassed her for being feminine, even when she was a child, and pushed her to deepen her voice. Despite having joint custody with her mother, Wilson said Musk was not supportive and was quick to anger.
Wilson, who is now a college student studying languages, has distanced herself from Musk and refuses to let her life be defined by him. She came out as gay in eighth grade and later as transgender at 16. Musk, who is known for his conservative views and opposition to transgender rights, mentioned Wilson in a recent interview with Jordan Peterson, expressing his lack of support for her gender identity. Wilson has spoken out against Musk’s behavior as a parent and welcomed her mother’s support during her coming out journey, stating that the pandemic provided her with an escape from Musk’s cruelty.
