The Department of Apparel and Textile Science at Punjab Agricultural University recently held an “Exhibition-cum-Sale of Lifestyle Products” showcasing a variety of unique and beautifully crafted items such as jute bags, file folders, wall frames, trays, coasters, bed sheets, cushion covers, table mats, runners, organisers, and pouches. The event, held at the department’s experiential learning unit, attracted a large number of visitors who were impressed by the beauty and workmanship of the products on display.
College Dean Dr Kiran Bains commended the department for their efforts in creating these one-of-a-kind products and for organizing the exhibition and sale, where visitors had the opportunity to purchase these items at reasonable prices. Dr Harminder Kaur Saini, Head of the Department, praised the students for their creativity and craftsmanship, and congratulated Dr Surabhi Mahajan and Manisha Sethi for providing hands-on training to the students.
The exhibition was a success, with attendees appreciating the wide range of products available for sale and the skill and talent of the students who created them. The event not only provided a platform for the students to showcase their work, but also allowed them to gain valuable experience in presenting and selling their products to the public. The department’s commitment to providing practical learning opportunities for its students was evident in the success of the exhibition.
