Fighting Hawks set to face Lady Griz at the Betty on Thursday

The University of North Dakota women’s basketball team is gearing up to face the Montana Lady Griz at home after suffering their first loss of the season. The Fighting Hawks, with a 2-1 record, will take on the 2-2 Lady Griz on Thursday, November 21 at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Fans can catch all the action on the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, iHeart Radio app, or by watching on Midco Sports and the Summit League Network.

This will be the 21st meeting between UND and Montana, with the Lady Griz holding the all-time series record at 12-8. However, the Hawks have the advantage when playing at home, with a 5-3 record. UND will be looking to break a five-game losing streak against Montana dating back to 2018.

In their last game against Green Bay, North Dakota narrowly lost 66-63 but showed strong performances from players such as Mikayla Aumer and Kiera Pemberton. The Fighting Hawks have been solid at home with a 1-1 record and impressive defensive stats, including outrebounding their opponents by a margin of +7 per game.

The Hawks currently rank eighth in the nation for free throws per game and first in the Summit League. They also lead the conference in defensive rebounds per game. Fans can follow @UNDwbasketball on social media for live updates and visit FightingHawks.com for more stats and stories on the team.
