Local Lutheran churches in Grand Forks are coming together to host two events leading up to Thanksgiving. The first event is a concert titled “Lift Every Voice: A Celebration of Sacred Choral Music” on November 24th featuring choirs from several local churches. The concert aims to raise money for a hunger-related charity through a free will offering. The second event is a combined worship service on November 26th at Sharon Lutheran Church, followed by a pie potluck. This service will feature a blend of traditional and contemporary music, with a combined choir representing three local churches. Ministers from each church will have a role, and the service will focus on the theme of thanksgiving. The collaboration between these churches is part of an effort to work together more closely and foster community spirit. Both events are open to the public, and organizers hope that these joint efforts will become annual traditions in the future.
