Michael Bennett, a director at Booz Allen Hamilton, has been awarded the 2025 College of Engineering and Computer Science Outstanding Alumnus Award by Wright State University. Bennett, who was drawn to technology from a young age, pursued a degree in computer science at Wright State which led him to a successful career in engineering and national security.
With a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA in finance, Bennett began his career early on and quickly rose to become a director at Booz Allen Hamilton. In this role, he leads a team of engineers specializing in physics-based modeling and analysis for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Despite his busy career, Bennett has remained connected to Wright State, serving as a corporate sponsor through Booz Allen Hamilton for the College of Engineering and Computer Science. He also supports the college by serving on its industry advisory board, participating in resume reviews and mock interviews, and celebrating scholarship recipients.
Bennett, a husband, father, and grandfather, also stays engaged with his church’s finance committee and leadership team, and provides technology support for computer systems and audiovisual equipment.
Reflecting on his journey, Bennett expressed gratitude for the opportunities Wright State provided him and the rewarding experience of supporting the university through corporate sponsorship.
The recognition of Bennett as the Outstanding Alumnus Award recipient highlights his dedication to his field, his contributions to national security, and his ongoing commitment to giving back to his alma mater.
