Fredrick David Kaczmarski, a beloved resident of Mulvane, KS, passed away at the age of 65. Fondly known as Freddy to his family and friends, Fred was remembered as a caring man with a brilliant mind and a generous heart. Born in Pettibone, ND, Fred was the youngest of three siblings and had a deep love for his family and his hometown.
Growing up in Pettibone, Fred was known for his curiosity, creativity, and love for nature. He had a passion for birds of prey, weather, and science, which he pursued throughout his life. After graduating as valedictorian from high school, Fred went on to pursue a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering at North Dakota State University.
In 1981, Fred started his career as an electrical engineer at Boeing in Wichita, where he worked until his passing. In 1995, Fred met Paula Williams, the love of his life, and they enjoyed a happy marriage filled with shared interests like blues music, fishing, and gardening. Sadly, Paula passed away in 2011 after battling cancer.
Fred’s health deteriorated after undergoing prostate surgery and cancer treatment in 2020. His passing was a great loss to his family, but they take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with Paula. Fred is survived by his siblings, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life Service for Fred will be held on April 30, 2025, at Smith Mortuary – Mulvane Chapel, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to various charities in Fred’s memory. His legacy of kindness, intelligence, and love for family and nature will be cherished by all who knew him.
