North Dakota Volleyball Welcomes Austin Meador as New Director of Operations
North Dakota volleyball head coach Jesse Tupac has announced the hiring of Austin Meador as the program’s newest Director of Operations. Meador brings a wealth of coaching experience, having spent time at Forza1 North Volleyball, Concordia-Irvine, Stanford, and Pasadena City College. He fills the vacancy left by Matt Breitbarth, who was promoted to an assistant coach position within the program.
Tupac expressed excitement about Meador joining the program, highlighting his diverse coaching background and strong recruiting ties. Meador’s previous roles at Forza1 North Volleyball saw success in both coaching and administrative positions, with multiple gold medals won across various age groups and over 80 players committing to continue their playing careers at various collegiate levels.
Meador’s collegiate experience includes serving as technical director at Stanford, where he contributed to a Pac-12 championship and Elite 8 finish. At Concordia-Irvine, he was responsible for implementing blocking systems that led the team to top rankings in team blocking at the national level.
Meador’s coaching journey began at Pasadena City College, where he served as a volunteer assistant coach and technical director. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of La Verne and a master’s in coaching and exercise sport science from Concordia-Irvine.
