Gear up for Earth Week in Fargo with a host of activities from April 21-26. The week kicks off with a press conference hosted by local cities and organizations on April 22 at the Resource Recovery Center in Moorhead. The center will showcase its facilities, including a garbage tipping floor and recycling drop-off.
Throughout the week, MATBUS riders can get a free trip by recycling an empty aluminum can on the bus, with proceeds going to the Homeward Animal Shelter. Craft activities will be available for children at the Fargo Public Library on April 21 and 22, and the Growing Together gardening group will meet on April 29 to share tips and connect with fellow gardeners.
On April 26, the Red River Zoo will host a “Party for the Planet” in collaboration with River Keepers, featuring local businesses and organizations with eco-friendly practices. This event aims to raise awareness about sustainable practices and conservation efforts. Don’t miss out on these Earth Week activities to celebrate and support environmental initiatives in the community.
