He eventually moved to California, where he met his wife Linda and built a life filled with love and connection to nature. Marlin had many passions, including beekeeping, sculpting, and woodworking. He was also a gifted carpenter, contributing to projects like Michael Jackson’s giraffe barn. However, his greatest love was his family and the earth, cultivating gardens and sharing his deep connection to the land. Marlin is survived by his wife, two daughters, grandson, and brother, and is remembered fondly by many extended family members and friends. His legacy of care for nature and loved ones continues to inspire, with donations to the World Wildlife Fund being requested in his honor. A celebration of his life will be held on July 19th in Santa Maria, California. Marlin’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness and respect for all living things.
