North Dakota State running back CharMar Brown is set to visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers later this week after entering the transfer portal. Brown had an impressive season last year, rushing for 1,181 yards and 15 touchdowns with an average of 4.8 yards per carry. In the NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Game, he recorded 77 yards and a touchdown in the Bisons’ victory.
Brown was awarded the Jerry Rice Award as the top freshman football player in the Football Championship Division, leading all FCS freshmen in rushing attempts, yards, and touchdowns. The Omaha native was the first Bison running back in seven years to surpass the 1,000-yard mark.
A graduate of Creighton Prep High School, Brown had offers from MAC and FCS schools before signing with North Dakota State. He will also be visiting the Miami Hurricanes on Monday afternoon.
