An estimated 114 undocumented immigrants were detained in Colorado during a DEA raid on an “underground nightclub” linked to drug trafficking and prostitution. The raid, which took place over Saturday night and into early Sunday, followed a months-long investigation of the Colorado Springs venue. DEA Special Agent Jonathan Pullen reported that additional arrests were made based on active state warrants, although only two specific arrests were acknowledged by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
During the raid, law enforcement discovered drugs—including cocaine—guns, and over a dozen active-duty service members who were either patrons or armed security. Pullen noted that many drugs were discarded upon law enforcement’s arrival. A video of the raid released by the DEA showed officers surrounding the club while issuing warnings in both English and Spanish for patrons to exit peacefully.
Pullen indicated that the club was a hub for significant criminal activity, stating that it had been under law enforcement surveillance for months. He mentioned that the investigation is ongoing with further operations planned across the city. President Donald Trump shared footage of the raid, claiming that some detainees were violent criminals, although the DEA has not identified anyone involved in murder. Bondi reported the presence of members from notorious gangs such as Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua and Los Angeles’s MS-13.
The Colorado Rapid Response Network urged detained individuals’ relatives to advise them of their rights, emphasizing that they can remain silent and seek legal counsel. Although some individuals, like partygoer Jose Dominguez, were temporarily detained and later released, advocacy groups expressed concern over large-scale operations targeting undocumented immigrants.
