James River Senior Center Offers Nutritious Meals and Activities for Seniors
Jamestown, ND – The James River Senior Center is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of seniors in the community by providing hot, nutritious meals and engaging activities across multiple locations. Meals are served at Center I, Gardenette, James House, and Streeter Senior Center. Center I offers lunch from noon Monday through Friday, while Gardenette and James House serve meals at 11:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.
Designed for those aged 60 and older, each meal fulfills at least one-third of their daily nutritional needs. A suggested donation of $4 is requested for seniors, while non-seniors pay $7.32. Reservations must be made at least a day in advance by calling 252-2882.
For homebound seniors, home-delivered meals and frozen meals are available. Transport services for diners can be accessed through James River Transit, offering rides for 50 cents each way.
In addition to meals, various activities such as exercise classes and games are organized throughout the week at different centers. Monthly meetings are held to keep the community informed about services and programs. For further inquiries, seniors can contact the center at 252-2882.
