Fighting Hawks Showcase Talent at Pro Day Ahead of NFL Draft

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – In an exciting display of potential, nine standout members of the 2024 North Dakota football team participated in UND’s Pro Day, held inside the Pollard Athletic Center. The event drew attention from several NFL and CFL scouts, with representatives from ten different teams present.

The athletes underwent a variety of drills, including the bench press, vertical jump, and 40-yard dash, although real-time results were not disclosed to the media. Notable performances marked the day, reflecting the players’ preparation for the upcoming NFL Draft, scheduled for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wis.

Among the participants, wide receiver Bo Belquist stood out, having started 11 games in 2024 and ranking highly in national statistics with 10 receiving touchdowns. His impressive career at UND solidified him as a record-holder for career receptions. Defensive back Devin Hembry also made his mark, garnering accolades for his defensive prowess and ranking among the top in the MVFC for interceptions.

Linebacker Josh Navratil showcased his skills with a strong season, leading his team in forced fumbles and sacks. Offensive contributors like running back Isaiah Smith and tight end Quincy Vaughn demonstrated versatility, contributing significantly both on the ground and through the air.

As these athletes prepare for professional careers, the Pro Day served as a final opportunity to impress scouts. With a legacy of excellence, the Fighting Hawks remain a formidable presence in collegiate football, and their efforts at this year’s Pro Day may pave the way for future NFL opportunities.
