North Dakota Men’s Golf Team Wraps Up Summit League Championship in 10th Place
MESA, Ariz. – The University of North Dakota men’s golf team concluded the 2025 Summit League Men’s Golf Championship with a tie for 10th place at Longbow Golf Club, finishing with a total score of 890 (+38).
The tournament commenced on Sunday, where the team struggled with an opening round of 312 (+28). Grayson Wetch and Joe Kortan stood out, both carding scores of 74 (+3). Lucas Feterl contributed an 80 (+9), while Nate Peyerl posted an 84 (+13) and Carson Skarperud closed the day with an 86 (+15).
Showing significant improvement on Monday, North Dakota delivered its best round of the tournament with a score of 286 (+2), slicing off 26 strokes from the previous day. Wetch led the pack with a commendable 70 (-1), followed closely by Kortan with a 72 (+1), and Feterl, who showed resilience with another 72 (+1). Peyerl also bettered his score with a 75 (+4), while substitute Kagan Kollar made his mark with a strong debut round of 72 (+1).
The final round on Tuesday saw the team finish with a score of 292 (+8). Wetch maintained his consistency, posting a 71 (E) and securing a tie for 16th place overall at 215 (+2). Kortan tied for 29th with a score of 219 (+6) after a final round of 73 (+2). Feterl finished with a 76 (+5), while Peyerl brought in a 79 (+8), placing him 52nd with a total of 238 (+25). Kollar once again demonstrated his skills with a solid 72 (+1).
