Minot Daily News Welcomes Nathan Beitler as New Sports Editor
Minot, N.D. – The Minot Daily News is excited to announce the appointment of Nathan Beitler as its new Sports Editor. Beitler, who graduated from Brigham Young University in December 2024 with a degree in Communications focused on Journalism and Sports Media, brings a lifelong passion for sports to the role.
Originally from a town north of Houston, Texas, Beitler’s journey in sports began with childhood memories watching baseball and basketball legends. Despite a serious back injury that halted his playing career, his commitment to sports continued through music, performing with his high school marching band at football games.
His academic path shifted from finance to communications after discovering his passion for journalism. Following graduation, Beitler sought a community that shares his love for sports and found it in Minot.
“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Nathan to our team,” said Robert Patchen, Publisher of The Minot Daily News. “His energy and expertise will be invaluable to our coverage.”
