UND Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2025
GRAND FORKS, N.D. — September 19, 2025
The University of North Dakota (UND) is set to honor its newest inductees into the Athletics Letterwinners Hall of Fame during a prestigious ceremony on September 19 at the Alerus Center. This year’s class includes eight distinguished athletes and the 2000-01 women’s basketball team, marking the 50th anniversary of the hall’s establishment.
Among this year’s inductees are football stars Randy Harles and Kelly Howe, whose dynamic defensive plays helped shape the program’s rich history. Harles, known for his intense play, ranks among the top in all-time sacks, while Howe boasts an impressive record of interceptions.
Hockey legend Dave Hudson, who served as team captain during an era of NCAA Frozen Four appearances, joins exceptional track athlete Mark Murdock, a four-time All-American, and Liz (Kaler) Olson, recognized for her outstanding contributions to women’s golf.
Women’s basketball standout Theresa LeCuyer and diver Jodie (Schwartz) Jones, who received multiple All-American honors, complete the impressive list of individual inductees.
Adding to the evening’s honors, Forrest Flaagan will receive the Tom Clifford Award for his exemplary coaching in South Dakota high school cross country. The Mikkelson family will be bestowed the Honorary Letterwinner Award for their significant contributions to UND Athletics, demonstrating a legacy of support spanning generations.
The induction ceremony will be followed by a halftime recognition during UND’s home football game against Valparaiso the next day. This prestigious event continues to celebrate the achievements of North Dakota’s athletic legends, showcasing the rich history and dedication inherent in UND sports.
