James River Senior Center Offers Nutritious Meals and Support Services
The James River Senior Center in Jamestown is dedicated to providing hot, nutritious meals and support services to seniors aged 60 and older at multiple locations, including Center I, Gardenette, James House, and Streeter Senior Center. Meals are served Monday through Friday, with hours varying by location—12 PM at Center I, 11:30 AM at Gardenette, and 11 AM at James House.
A suggested donation of $4 is encouraged for seniors, while those under 60 pay $7.32. Reservations must be made a day in advance by calling 252-2882. Transportation to meal sites is provided by James River Transit for a nominal fee.
Home-delivered meals and frozen meal options are also available for eligible seniors in Jamestown and Stutsman County. Additionally, the Center offers outreach services, helping link seniors to various assistance programs, and a Loan Closet for essential medical equipment.
