Minot Duo Shines at North Dakota Communications Contest
Minot, ND – Candace Brekke and Jessica Ackerman were celebrated for their outstanding contributions at the North Dakota Professional Communicators’ (NDPC) 2025 Communications Contest, held on May 9 in Minot. The event recognized excellence in various forms of communication, including writing, editing, photography, advertising, and social media.
Brekke excelled, clinching first place in multiple categories, including advertising poster, web copy, and single advertisement. She also received several second and third place awards, as well as an honorable mention. Notably, her first-place entries will advance to the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) competition, with winners to be announced this September in Colorado. Additionally, Brekke and Ackerman collaborated on a project that earned a second-place award in the corporate website category.
Amanda Kosior of Grand Forks was honored with the NDPC Communicator of Achievement award for her 25 years of excellence in communications and marketing, marking the highest recognition offered by the NDPC. Kosior will also advance to the national level in this prestigious category.
The NDPC serves as a vital state affiliate of NFPW, connecting communication professionals across the region.
