In a thrilling night of high school soccer and softball, the GF Red River team emerged victorious against GF Central, winning 2-1. Alexia Gianoppoulos opened the scoring for Red River in the first half, assisted by Taylor Hodny. GF Central’s Jacie Reardon equalized early in the second half, before Hodny struck again, assisted by Gianoppoulos, sealing the win for Red River.
In softball, Esko triumphed over Thief River Falls with a closely contested score of 4-3, while Kittson Co. Central dominated Lake of the Woods, securing an impressive 8-3 victory. Notable performances included BGMR’s Foss, who hit 1×2 with two doubles, and Baumgartner, who recorded multiple hits and runs.
