Fargo/Grand Forks Softball Tournament Recap

FARGO/GRAND FORKS — In an exciting opening round of the North Dakota Class B softball state tournament, Des Lacs-Burlington’s Sierra Yale led her team to a 5-2 victory over May-Port-CG at Tharaldson Park on Thursday. This match was one of several taking place, including games between Velva-Drake-Anamoose and Hillsboro-Central Valley, as well as Central Cass against Carrington, and Beulah against Bottineau.

In the Class A tournament at Albrecht Field, Minot secured a narrow 2-1 win against Fargo Davies, while Dickinson dominated Fargo North, winning 16-3 in the state quarterfinals. Other matchups included Williston facing West Fargo Sheyenne and Grand Forks Red River clashing with Bismarck in the first round of Class A.
