Xavier Welcomes Transfer Guard Panoam to Strengthen Roster
Xavier University’s basketball team is set to welcome a promising new player, Panoam, who brings diverse experience and skills to the court. Originally hailing from Anchorage, Alaska, Panoam spent his high school years in Georgia before starting his college career at Tulane University. After a year at Tulane, he transferred to the University of North Dakota, where he showcased his talent and determination. With two years of college eligibility remaining, Panoam has now decided to continue his collegiate journey at Xavier.
Standing at 6’2" and weighing 200 pounds, Panoam is described as an athletic and physical guard capable of thriving both on and off the ball. During the past season at North Dakota, he averaged impressive stats, including 13 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 45.5% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line during conference play. Although his three-point shooting needs improvement, his ability to generate free throws and his solid defensive skills make him a valuable addition to the Musketeers.
Panoam’s capability to penetrate defenses and create opportunities for himself and his teammates is one of his standout attributes. While his efficiency last season was impacted by high usage, there’s potential for significant growth in his game at Xavier. Coaches are hopeful that with dedicated practice, Panoam can enhance his shooting consistency, making him a key contributor as the team prepares for upcoming challenges.
