Jamestown High School Names Tim Ranum Head Coach of Boys Basketball

JAMESTOWN — Jamestown High School Activities Department is thrilled to announce Tim Ranum as the new head coach of the Blue Jay boys basketball team. Currently an English teacher at Jamestown High and an assistant coach for the past two seasons, Ranum also leads the baseball team in the spring.

Previously, Ranum served as the head coach for the boys basketball team at Carrington High School for seven seasons, earning accolades such as District Coach of the Year on two occasions and guiding his team to a Region 3 championship in 2018.

Activities Director Jim Roaldson expressed enthusiasm about Ranum’s appointment, saying, “We are eager to see the direction of Blue Jay boys basketball under Tim’s leadership. He has dedicated himself to the program and I anticipate his teams will embody enthusiasm, a passion for the game, and a disciplined approach.”

Ranum’s experience and commitment to both basketball and education position him as a promising leader for the team as they aim for success in the upcoming seasons.
