Minot State University Celebrates Milestones Amidst Record Growth
Minot State University (MSU) recently commemorated the graduation of nearly 600 students from its Class of 2025, marking a pivotal moment in a year brimming with achievements. The academic year commenced with a ribbon-cutting for Hartnett Hall’s $26.6 million renovation, enhancing educational spaces for students and the community alike.
Significant facility upgrades included a new campus greenhouse and renovations to the Severson Entrepreneurship Academy. The university also expanded its academic offerings, introducing innovative programs like a BS in biomedical science and an online Bachelor of Social Work.
Accreditation successes were notable as nursing, teacher education, and school psychology programs received commendations for quality. The arts flourished as MSU hosted performances from the Minot Symphony Orchestra and Western Plains Opera, among others.
Athletic achievements saw men’s basketball reach unprecedented success, while other teams also performed remarkably in national competitions. MSU’s partnership with Minot Air Force Base was recognized with an award for outstanding military support.
Crowning the year, MSU concluded its largest capital campaign, “EMPOWER,” raising $54.8 million to bolster academics and facilities. The enduring bond between MSU and the Minot community remains a foundation for future initiatives.
