West Fargo Hosts Thrilling Dock Diving Event for Dogs
WEST FARGO, N.D. – Dog enthusiasts gathered in West Fargo on Saturday for an exhilarating dock diving event organized by Sheyenne River Kennels. This competition allowed dogs of all sizes to take flight, leaping into a frosty pool in pursuit of a thrown toy.
Kati Thom from Sheyenne River Kennels expressed her passion for promoting dog sports in the area. “I really wanted to have a dock event every year just because there’s not a lot of dog sports in the area," she said. "This event encourages dogs to get active, breaking away from their routine at home."
The event featured free registration with no size restrictions, allowing any dog to participate and showcase their jumping skills. With the excitement of the crowd and splashes in the pool, it provided a fantastic way for pets to release energy and engage in physical activity.
Dock diving is burgeoning as a popular sport for dogs and their owners, and events like these are critical for fostering a sense of community among dog lovers. The success of Saturday’s event has set the stage for future competitions and a continued commitment to canine athleticism in West Fargo.
