Applied Digital Corporation Expands AI Infrastructure with CoreWeave Lease Agreements
DALLAS, June 2, 2025 — Applied Digital Corporation (Nasdaq: APLD) has announced a significant partnership with CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler™, through two long-term lease agreements totaling approximately 15 years. These deals will provide 250 megawatts of critical IT load at Applied Digital’s data center campus in Ellendale, North Dakota, dedicated to supporting CoreWeave’s artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) operations.
CEO Wes Cummins emphasized that this collaboration enhances Applied Digital’s role in delivering essential infrastructure for the burgeoning fields of AI and HPC. With anticipated revenue of about $7 billion over the lease term, the partnership positions Ellendale as a pivotal hub for AI workload scalability. The facility is uniquely designed for high-density compute and is set to expand capacity over time, aiming for a total of 1 gigawatt.
As the first 100 MW data center is set to launch in late 2025, Applied Digital’s strategic approach to infrastructure is designed to meet the rapidly growing demands of AI technologies.
