University of North Dakota Adds Six Transfers to 2025 Football Roster
Grand Forks, N.D. – The University of North Dakota’s head football coach, Eric Schmidt, has announced the recruitment of six new transfers to bolster the Fighting Hawks for the 2025 season. Coach Schmidt expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Our staff has done an excellent job adding these six young men to our family. Each player fits a specific need on our team and will create more competition on our roster.”
The new additions include:

Idrique Carmichael, DB (5-10, 180, Pasadena, Calif.) – A notable defensive back who earned the APL Defensive Player of the Year title in 2023 while playing two seasons at Pasadena City College.

Michael Devereaux, LB (6-1, 235, El Reno, Okla.) – A linebacker from Old Dominion with a solid performance of nine tackles and half a sack in 2024.

Watson Hafer, TE (6-4, 230, West Plains, Mo.) – A tight end who performed at Missouri State and was recognized for his contributions on the scout team.

Tyler Henry, DL (6-3, 285, Houston, Texas) – Defensive lineman from Sacramento State, contributing to playoffs in 2023.

Hunter Kallstrom, TE (6-4, 225, Kerkhoven, Minn.) – Former tight end at Wyoming, previously ranked as the 13th overall recruit in Minnesota.
- Xavier Leigh, RB (5-10, 189, Troy, N.Y.) – A running back from Sacred Heart with a strong record of 729 rushing yards and six touchdowns over four seasons.
