Baltimore Ravens Release All-Pro Kicker Justin Tucker Amid Allegations
Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Ravens announced the release of All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker following allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior involving over a dozen massage therapists in the Baltimore area. Ravens’ General Manager Eric DeCosta described the decision as a difficult football choice, stating, “Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker.”
The NFL is currently investigating the claims, reported by the Baltimore Banner, which allege that Tucker engaged in sexual misconduct with at least 16 massage therapists between 2012 and 2016. Despite the allegations, Tucker and his attorneys have vehemently denied any wrongdoing. In a statement issued on January 30, Tucker expressed his devastation at the charges, emphasizing, “I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session.”
Tucker, who played 13 seasons with the Ravens, recorded a career-low field goal percentage of 73.3% in 2024 but remains the most accurate kicker in NFL history, with a career percentage of 89.1%. He also holds the record for the longest field goal at 66 yards. The Ravens have since drafted kicker Tyler Loop from the University of Arizona in the sixth round.
In previous statements, DeCosta referred to the allegations as “serious” and “concerning,” stating that the organization would await the outcomes of the NFL’s investigation before making further decisions about Tucker. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh reinforced that future decisions would be strictly football-related.
Tucker was the last remaining player from the Ravens’ 2012 Super Bowl championship team, known for his reliability and talent and recognized as a seven-time Pro Bowl player and member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
