Fargo Motorcycle Crash Claims Young Life

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) — A tragic motorcycle accident in South Fargo has left a 26-year-old man dead. The incident occurred on June 7 at approximately 11:30 a.m., when the motorcycle was spotted speeding northbound on 36th Street South. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the rider failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 36th Street South and Westrac Drive.

Simultaneously, a Ford Expedition traveling eastbound on Westrac Drive approached the intersection. After coming to a stop, the driver proceeded, leading to the motorcycle colliding with the passenger side of the vehicle. The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries, which ultimately proved fatal, while the driver of the Expedition remained uninjured. However, a passenger in the Expedition reported minor injuries from the impact.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. This tragic event highlights the dangers of speeding and the importance of adhering to traffic signals. Community members are urged to drive cautiously, particularly as summer begins, increasing motorcycle usage on the roads.
