Grace Sharbono, 85, of Devils Lake, ND, Passes Away
Grace Esther Sharbono, aged 85, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, ND. Born on August 4, 1939, in Breman, Indiana, to Ralph and Esther Rowe, Grace graduated from Mohall School in 1958 and later earned a BS in Nursing from Jamestown College in 1962. She married H. Wesley Sharbono on December 27, 1961, in Mohall.
Grace dedicated 15 years to nursing at Jamestown Hospital, specializing in OBGYN and teaching nursing students. After moving to the family farm in Devils Lake in 1976, she worked part-time with the ND Maternal Child Health program and later founded the Home Health Program for Mercy Hospital in 1981, impacting many lives in the Lake Region community before retiring in 2004.
A devoted community member, Grace was involved in various organizations, including the United Methodist Women and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She is survived by her sons Wade and Dean, daughter Beth Zahn, five grandchildren, and siblings, along with many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, and several family members. Visitation will be held on June 12, with services on June 13 at the First United Methodist Church.
