In the ongoing federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, prosecutors are framing “freak offs”—marathon sexual encounters—as part of a broader criminal conspiracy. Yet, Diddy’s legal team is attempting to portray these encounters as consensual, drawing on testimonies from his ex-girlfriend, referred to as “Jane.” On her fifth day of testimony, Jane indicated that she had initiated some of these “freak offs,” supporting this with evidence including photos of a romantically adorned room she had decorated for their encounters.
During questioning, Jane confirmed that she suggested a “hotel night” involving Diddy and two other men, to which Diddy reportedly responded positively. She recounted texting Diddy after a sexual encounter about how much enjoyment she found in such activities, expressing gratitude for his care and describing him as a “blessing” in her life. Illustrating their complex relationship, Jane tearfully stated that Diddy was instrumental in bringing joy to her child’s life.
She also testified about encouraging Diddy to maintain sobriety and even proposed a “sobriety party,” during which she engaged in sexual activities with multiple partners. Jane expressed feelings of resentment towards Diddy, lamenting her deep affection for him and her inability to refuse his demands.
On a separate note, the prosecution is seeking to dismiss a juror—the panel’s only Black member—citing issues of “lack of candor.” Prosecutor Maurene Comey emphasized the seriousness of the situation, despite reluctance to pursue the matter. Diddy, present in the courtroom, appeared to engage with someone in the audience ahead of the proceedings.
Looking ahead, Jane is expected to continue her cross-examination, and NBC’s “Dateline” is providing ongoing updates throughout the trial.
