Cranberry Welcomes Celebrity-Backed Hot Dog Venture: Yinzer Dogs to Open Brick-and-Mortar Location
Cranberry, PA – A new culinary hotspot is set to spice up the local scene as Yinzer Dogs, a hot dog business supported by notable local celebrities, prepares to open its first physical location in the Cranberry Springs plaza. Behind this exciting venture are radio personalities Larry Richert and Jim Krenn, along with former NFL quarterback Dan Marino, who gained traction last year with their food truck.
Yinzer Dogs is slated to open at 2085 MacKenzie Way in August, with a second location anticipated in the Strip District, just in time for the next NFL Draft in April. The founders are enthusiastic about filling a void left by the closing of numerous hot dog shops during the COVID-19 pandemic. Richert emphasized the desire to revitalize the local food scene, stating, “So many things closed during Covid, and we lost a lot of our hot dog shops. We thought, ‘Well, we can do this and add to it.’”
The timing of their brick-and-mortar launch aims to leverage the excitement of next year’s NFL Draft, making it a strategic move for attracting local sports enthusiasts and food lovers alike. “We’re pretty excited because the timing is going to be the perfect alignment for us to have this stuff up and running,” Richert added.
As the opening date approaches, the team is focused on creating a unique experience for customers, combining classic hot dog offerings with innovative twists. With the backing of local celebrities and a clear vision, Yinzer Dogs is poised to make a lasting impact on the culinary landscape of Cranberry.
