FAA Awards Over $2.3 Million for North Dakota Airports

BISMARCK, N.D. – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced a significant investment of $2,325,638 through its Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to enhance airport facilities across North Dakota.

Minot International Airport will receive $940,880 to upgrade its snow removal equipment, including a new carrier vehicle equipped with a front blade, undercarriage blade, and deicing attachments. The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority is set to benefit from $900,000, which will be used to reseal 5,219 feet of Runway 4/22, as well as 1,706 feet of Taxiway E pavement, extending their operational lifespan.

Gwinner Municipal Airport Authority will also see improvements with $300,000 allocated for resealing 4,266 square yards of East Apron pavement and 9,605 square yards of West Apron pavement, along with 5,220 feet of Runway 16/34. Additionally, Bottineau Municipal Airport Authority will receive $184,758 to fund design work for reconstructing 200 square feet of its terminal.

The FAA’s AIP aims to bolster safety, planning, and capital projects at airports nationwide, reflecting a commitment to advancing the nation’s aviation infrastructure.
