Jaylynn Hicks Crowned Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2026
MEDORA, N.D. – In an exciting conclusion to the annual pageant held on June 14, 2025, Jaylynn Hicks of Dunn Center was crowned Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2026. The 23-year-old, who holds a double major in Animal Biomedical Science and Equine Science from North Dakota State University, aims to attend veterinary school in Billings, MT, focusing on large animal genetics and reproduction.
Hicks, who will officially take over the title from Claire Graner in January 2026, expressed her dedication to using her platform to promote animal welfare and education. Graner shared her ongoing goals for her reign, highlighting the importance of mentorship and community engagement.
Codi Miller, the National Director of Miss Rodeo North Dakota, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s 71st annual pageant, encouraging more individuals to join the organization. The initiative aims to celebrate western heritage while equipping young women with essential skills and values.
Hicks stood out among contestants, including first runner-up Jaycee Dressler, Miss Rodeo Mandan. The event was not only a celebration of rodeo culture but also an embodiment of the spirit and aspirations of young women in North Dakota.
