Bobcat Plant in Gwinner to Pause Production for Memorial Day
WEST FARGO, N.D. — The Bobcat plant in Gwinner, North Dakota, will halt production for one week over the Memorial Day holiday, part of a strategic move to align output with market forecasts. The North American headquarters for Doosan Bobcat is located in West Fargo, underscoring the company’s significance in the region.
In November 2023, Bobcat announced plans for a new $300 million manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, set to create 600 to 800 jobs. Company officials confirmed that this expansion will not lead to job losses at the existing facilities in Gwinner and Bismarck. With production expected to commence in 2026, this initiative represents a commitment to growth and adaptation to market demands.
As the company navigates these changes, it remains focused on maintaining stability in its current operations while looking ahead to future opportunities. The planned shutdown is scheduled for the week of Memorial Day, reflecting a strategic decision meant to support long-term production efficiency.
