University of North Dakota Men’s Basketball Welcomes Garrett Anderson to 2025-26 Recruiting Class

Grand Forks, N.D. – The University of North Dakota’s men’s basketball head coach, Paul Sather, has announced the signing of Garrett Anderson, a dynamic 6-6 guard from Phoenix, Arizona, for the 2025-26 season. This recruitment enhances a promising class featuring talented prep players, including the Curtis twins, Marley and Micah from St. Louis Park, Minnesota; Karson Ouse from Kindred, North Dakota; and Hopkins’ own Anthony Smith III. Anderson will also be joined by fellow transfers Wylee Delorme from UMary and Josh Jones from Oral Roberts.

Anderson has had an impressive collegiate career, marked by his recent performance at Central Washington where he was recognized as a unanimous First Team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference player. Over 32 games, he averaged 14.34 points per game, showcasing his scoring prowess with eight games exceeding 20 points, including a 39-point explosion against Jessup. His shooting stats are equally noteworthy: he maintained a 49.2% field goal percentage and shot 41.2% from beyond the arc.

Before his tenure at Central Washington, Anderson played two seasons at San Jose State, contributing valuable experience in the competitive Mountain West Conference. His high school accolades include being named the 6A Arizona Player of the Year and earning First Team All-State honors.

Coach Sather expressed enthusiasm about Anderson’s commitment, highlighting his athleticism, shooting ability, and winning mentality, which will be crucial for the Fighting Hawks’ upcoming seasons.
