Press Release: South Dakota Native Launches Third Season of "50 Dates 50 States"
Sioux Falls, S.D. – Matthew Wurnig, a TikTok sensation known as the “TikTok Bachelor,” has embarked on an ambitious journey to date in every U.S. state this summer for the third season of his viral series, "50 Dates 50 States." Wurnig initially gained fame during the pandemic by conducting virtual dates, which quickly drew an audience of over 600,000 TikTok followers.
Kicking off this season in his birthplace, Rapid City, Wurnig’s first contestant is Kezley, a nursing student. Their date included go-karting, showcasing a fun start to the series. "The aim was to shift the focus from negativity to positivity," Wurnig stated about his project.
This time around, participants will offer their hearts at the end of each date, with Wurnig allowed to keep only five for the grand finale in Rapid City from September 11-14. Following South Dakota, Wurnig plans to visit North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa, creating a travelogue of experiences and connections across the country.
