Fifth Graders Bring Wax Museum to Life at Anne Carlsen Center
Jamestown, ND – On May 8, 2025, fifth graders from Gussner Elementary School showcased their Wax Museum project at the Anne Carlsen Center. Students immersed themselves in the lives of famous figures, dressing in period costumes and embodying their historical characters.
The educational project aimed to expand students’ understanding of influential individuals who have shaped society. Each student selected a notable figure, conducting extensive research to prepare a presentation that highlighted significant contributions and historical contexts. As they interacted with visitors, the young historians shared captivating stories, fostering curiosity and engagement.
The event not only showcased the students’ hard work and creativity but also provided an opportunity for them to practice public speaking and gain confidence in presenting to an audience. The Anne Carlsen Center warmly welcomed the initiative, enabling the students to share their knowledge with a larger community.
