Rural North Dakota Counties Expand Mental Health Access with Credible Mind Platform
FARGO, N.D. – In a significant move to enhance mental health resources for rural communities, Fargo Cass Public Health has partnered with Credible Mind to extend its services to additional counties in the Southeast North Dakota Public Health Collaborative. Following the successful use of Credible Mind in three counties—Cass, Ransom, and Richland—the initiative now includes Sargent, Steele, and Traill counties.
Credible Mind is a free, online platform offering a wealth of mental health tools, including self-assessments and a directory of local providers for in-person counseling. The platform aims to support individuals in assessing their mental wellness and encourages them to seek professional help when necessary. "Primarily, we hope users will see Credible Mind as a bridge to understanding their struggles," said Holly Scott, public information officer for Fargo Cass Public Health.
Users have the option to access the site as guests, but those who register and complete a mental health check-in assessment will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card. This initiative underscores a commitment to mental wellness, ensuring that even those in remote areas can find the support they need.
